This recipe is super easy to make and delicious to eat.
1 ½ Cup of Kapai Puku – No 1. Heart Health
1 Cup Spelt Flour (or your preferred flour choice)
¾ Cup Rice bran Oil
1 Teaspoon of Baking Powder
1 Teaspoon of Vanilla Essence…
(or 1 Teaspoon freshly grated Lemon Zest and Teaspoon of Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice)
¾ Teaspoon Himalayan Salt
Flat Oven Tray
Preheat Oven to 140 degrees Celsius.
Blend Kapai Puku – No 1. Stomach Health for a couple of minutes in Food Grinder/ Blender.
Add Blended Kapai Puku, Flour, Rice bran Oil, lightly Whisked Eggs, Baking Powder, Himalayan Salt and Vanilla Essence to mixing bowl. Stir and Knead until mixture is fully combined.
Roll into two long sausage lengths approximately 20cm long and place on top of Baking Paper on a Flat Oven Tray.
Place in Oven and cook for approximately 35 minutes.
Remove from Oven. Using a bread knife, cut into slices about 1cm thick, then lay the slices flat on the baking sheet.
Bake for another 15 minutes on both sides or until golden.
They are delicious on their own or served with;
Thin Slithers of Camembert or Brie Cheese
Fetta or Ricotta Cheese
Thinly Sliced Large Tomatoes
Dips (Avocado or Tzatziki)
